ROLLER DERBY FUNDAMENTALS - Level 2 intake
This training is perfect for you if you already feel comfortable doing basic things on skates or have completed LEARN TO SKATE - LEVEL 1. Level 2 is a light contact training introduction to roller derby, and we review non-contact skating at the start, before we bring you onto blocking, hitting, jamming and pack work, as well as laying out rules and strategy to get you ready to hit the track.
Where: Dunc Gray Velodrome, 27 Carysfield Road Bass Hill
When: Sundays 10:00am - 11:30am, Tuesdays 7pm-9pm
Start Date: Tuesday 25 February 2025
Level 2 skaters are members of SRDL, covering you as skating members of the league, giving you access to our group spaces, our member updates about upcoming derby fun, and setting you up for placement into our competitive player and official teams.
Cost: $65 league joining fee, $75/mth training fees
(plus compulsory annual insurance paid to Skate Victoria - $125).
This is a fully gender-inclusive program.
